Chennai: Expressing solidarity to Sanjiv Bhatt, Muslim Youth League national executive committee has decided to support the activist to get his rights. The national executive meeting, held in Chennai on September 24,cited Bhatt was the latest victim of fascism and he was being haunted for speaking against injustice. “Youth League won’t compromise government terror,” the meeting said.
The meeting urged impartial probe into Rafael deal alleging Modi government preferred interests of corporate powers like Reliance instead of laying stress on national security. “Modi government has lost its face by committing irregularities in Rafael deal,” the meeting cited.
The meeting also urged special rehabilitation package for expatriates. Demonetisation and inflation have left youth in the country unemployed. In a protest against Centre’s economic policy, Youth League will take part in the coming national strikes. 5000 Youth League cadres will become part of the strikes, which are going to be organised under the aegis of youth organisations of opposition parties.
IUML national president Prof. Khader Moideen inaugurated. P. K. Kunhalikutty MP, KAM Aboobakker MLA, Syed Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, C.K Zubair, Sabir Ghaffar addressed the meeting.
